Our aspiration is to be the leader in providing care, hope and advocacy for those facing disadvantage. Our purpose is to create opportunities and lasting change for the most marginalised. VincentCare is well equipped to provide a continuum of services that effectively meet the needs of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
We are currently seeking an established leader to take on the role of Northern Hub Manager, overseeing the operations and strategic growth of our Northern Community Hub. This role provides oversight to a broad range of services that make a real difference in the community.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an established community services leader to implement and consolidate innovative services in the Northern Region of Melbourne.
With a staff team of over 70 people spanning family violence, homelessness, youth and outreach, and with new services arriving in 2025, this role would suit an experienced leader seeking a new challenge.
The position holds a critical role in VincentCare’s senior management team and will have the opportunity to drive the Hub’s strategic direction, develop the business plan and influence key decision making.
As the Northern Hub Manager, you will lead all services delivered from the Northern Community Hub, driving excellence in service delivery and leading the implementation of key initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build on the Hub’s critical partnerships, develop new service responses and participate in sector and regional coordination and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership to a team of approximately 70 staff delivering services across homelessness intervention, family violence accommodation, youth justice, community housing support, and more.
- Lead a team of five Managers, and a leadership team of over ten staff.
- Oversee the implementation and operationalisation of a new big program, including recruitment and structural changes.
- Manage budgets, financial modelling, and operational resources in line with organisational priorities.
- Foster robust relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, partner agencies, and advocacy bodies.
- Ensure compliance with funding agreements, government accreditation, and internal quality frameworks.
- Develop new service responses and improve programs to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
- Represent VincentCare in sector governance forums and build the Hub’s profile in the community.
About You
You are an inspiring leader with a strong background in social or community services and a passion for ending chronic homelessness. Your strategic mindset, financial acumen, and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams make you well-suited to this role.

- Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social/Community Services (essential).

- Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
- High-level computer literacy and experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to foster a cohesive and positive team culture.
What We Offer:
