About Vincentcare Victoria
VincentCare Victoria is an award-winning organisation established to provide a range of accommodation and support services to people that are facing disadvantage throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria.
Our aspiration is to be the leader in providing care, hope and advocacy for those facing disadvantage. Our purpose is to create opportunities and lasting change for the most marginalised. VincentCare is well equipped to provide a continuum of services that effectively meet the needs of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Little bit about the role
HomeConnect is an early intervention program supporting individuals and families at risk of homelessness. The Senior Key Worker will provide person-centred, strengths-based case management to help clients achieve housing stability and address underlying issues such as financial stress, health concerns, and family violence. This role involves developing tailored case plans, coordinating access to housing and support services, and offering practical assistance and advocacy. The Senior Key Worker also mentors junior staff, provides guidance on complex cases, and supports team development through reflective practice. Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential to ensure integrated and effective service delivery.
Key Selection Criteria
We’re looking for someone with experience in case management and a solid understanding of the housing and homelessness sector. You’ll need strong client engagement skills, the ability to manage complex needs, and a commitment to person-centred practice. Leadership experience, particularly in mentoring staff and managing challenging cases, is essential. Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills are required, along with a collaborative approach and knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards.
