About Vincentcare Victoria

VincentCare Victoria is an award-winning organisation established to provide a range of accommodation and support services to people that are facing disadvantage throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria.

Our aspiration is to be the leader in providing care, hope and advocacy for those facing disadvantage. Our purpose is to create opportunities and lasting change for the most marginalised. VincentCare is well equipped to provide a continuum of services that effectively meet the needs of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

About the Role

The Program Support Worker – Marian Community provides high-level administrative and operational support to VincentCare’s 24/7 Specialist Family Violence team based in Seymour. Servicing the City of Greater Shepparton, Moira, Strathbogie, Mitchell, and Murrindindi Shires, the Marian Community team delivers crisis responses and case management support for victim survivors, including children.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will coordinate site-based activities to improve efficiency, ensure compliance with organisational standards, and provide flexible support to program operations. The role requires you to exercise sound judgment, manage competing demands, and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.

You will also:

  • Support the program’s operational and administrative functions to enhance service delivery.
  • Participate in the after-hours crisis response on-call roster as back-up to Specialist Family Violence Practitioners.
  • Build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Ensure records, reporting, and compliance requirements are met.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring Marian Community remains a safe, effective, and accessible service for those experiencing or escaping family violence.

About You

You are an organised and adaptable professional with experience in the community services sector, particularly in supporting victim survivors of family violence. With a calm and inclusive communication style, you can effectively manage competing priorities and support both clients and staff in a fast-paced and crisis-driven environment.

You are committed to upholding dignity, safety, and empowerment for all clients while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and sector standards. You bring cultural awareness, empathy, and resilience to your work and thrive in building collaborative relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and the broader community.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Diploma in Community Services or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the community services sector, ideally in a family violence response context.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage program resources and support operational compliance.
  • Experience managing conflict and responding effectively in crisis situations.
  • Commitment to principles of social justice, human rights, empowerment, and self-determination.
  • Proven ability to provide culturally safe and inclusive support.
  • Valid Victorian Driver Licence.
