Little bit about the role
VincentCare Victoria is seeking a passionate and experienced AOD Clinician to join the STAR Program, delivered in partnership with The Salvation Army.
This role involves providing evidence-based counselling, outreach case management, and recovery-focused support to adults and families impacted by alcohol and other drug (AOD) concerns across Melbourne’s Inner North and North West catchments.
Working within a collaborative and client-centred framework, you will support clients to develop achievable recovery goals through therapeutic interventions, care coordination, and holistic support services.
Key Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification and Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (or equivalent).
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in the AOD sector.
- Experience delivering AOD assessment, counselling, case management, and recovery-focused support.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including CBT, ACT, MET, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
- Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
- Experience supporting clients with complex needs including homelessness, mental health, family violence, and social disadvantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and organisational skills.
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
