The Liverpool Bakery is our largest site in APAC, employing over 300 team members and comprising four manufacturing areas, including a fresh bun bakery, frozen bakery products, cakes and desserts.

The Opportunity:

We are currently on the lookout for a proactive and results driven individual to join the team based at our industrial Bakery in Liverpool NSW as Site Sanitation Manager.

Reporting directly to the Senior Site General Manager, this pivotal role is responsible for the effective implementation of sanitation systems and programs, ensuring alignment with the site's manufacturing requirements.

As a key leader, you will oversee the Sanitation team, contractors, and stakeholders across the site, managing sanitation systems, maintaining compliance records, allocating resources, and facilitating team training and development. You will uphold the highest standards of quality assurance, food safety, and workplace health and safety while driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Site Sanitation function. Additionally, you will lead sanitation operations to enhance and maintain operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities:

• Implement and manage the Site Sanitation Programs ensuring that equipment and facility sanitation is performed in a safe, sanitary and efficient manner.
• Lead the extended Sanitation team across the site fostering a team culture of engagement, collaboration and high performance.
• Implement an effective Pest Control Program, Waste Management and Environmental Program adhering to Company and Regulatory standards.
• Schedule and manage additional cleaning requirements for adequate site cleanliness.
• Ensures correct cleaning equipment, tools and chemicals are available and maintained to company standards.
• Responsible for the training and development necessary to maintain a knowledgeable, experienced and productive Site Sanitation team. Support and trains other departments in sanitation methods and procedures.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting for company, customer, and legislative requirements.
• Adhere to all Company and local Policies and Procedures and SOPs including Food Safety and Product Quality, including any amendments, or new policies and procedures that may be implemented.
• Ensure OHS standards and procedures are maintained at all times.

About You:

We are looking for a hands-on and results driven leader who is detail and action oriented and thrives for excellence.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• Previous experience in a similar leadership role, ideally in the food/FMCG or relevant industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sanitary/chemical and food manufacturing standards will be preferred.
• Strong leadership, including independent decision-making, and ability to manage a large and diverse extended team.
• Demonstrated capacity to work efficiently and effectively, exhibiting initiative and diligence even under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Commitment to continuous learning, improvement, and adaptability.
• Proficient in basic MS Office applications.
• Familiarity in business ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems like Kleanz will be highly regarded.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work Tuesday – Saturday.
