We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the position of Sanitation Manager at our brand-new bakery scheduled to launch at the end of 2025 in Nambeelup (12km from Mandurah and 60 km South of Perth).

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Plant Manager WA, this key role will involve leading the Sanitation Team, Contractors, and site stakeholders to ensure the efficient implementation of sanitation systems and programs in line with the site's manufacturing requirements.

This varied and hands-on role will see you managing the sanitation systems, maintaining records, planning resources, providing team training and development, and ensuring adherence to high standard of quality assurance, food safety, and workplace health and safety.

You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Sanitation function and oversee Sanitation operations to maintain and enhance operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage the site Sanitation Program ensuring that equipment and facility sanitation is performed in a safe, sanitary and efficient manner.
  • Review sanitation needs with Department Managers to prevent scheduling conflicts.
  • Implement an effective Pest Control Program, Waste Management and Environmental Program adhering to Company and Regulatory standards.
  • Schedule and manage additional cleaning requirements for adequate facility cleanliness.
  • Ensure correct cleaning equipment, tools and chemicals are available and maintained to company standards.
  • Responsible for the training and development necessary to maintain a knowledgeable, experienced and productive Site Sanitation team. Support and trains other departments in sanitation methods and procedures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting for company, customer, and legislative requirements.
  • Adhere to all Company and local Policies and Procedures and SOPs including Food Safety and Product Quality, including any amendments, or new policies and procedures that may be implemented.
  • Ensure OHS standards and procedures are maintained at all times.

About You:

We are looking for a hands-on natural leader who is detail and action oriented and thrives for excellence.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in the food/FMCG or relevant industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sanitary/chemical and food manufacturing standards will be preferred.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including independent decision-making, team engagement and strategic planning abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work efficiently and effectively, exhibiting initiative and diligence even under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects while upholding attention to detail and quality.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, improvement, and adaptability.
  • Proficient in basic MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity in business ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems like Kleanz will be highly regarded.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility for weekend and afterhours work.
