About the Organisation
Spicers Retreats is an award-winning restaurant and accommodation brand with five restaurants open to the public in Queensland and four hats to its name so far. The newest addition to the collection is The Balfour Kitchen – a quality neighbourhood restaurant, positioned in the heart of the inner-city suburb of New Farm. The Balfour Kitchen is open seven days for breakfast, high-teas and private functions and five nights for dinner. It offers indoor, veranda and courtyard dining for 54 covers and a menu of simple, fresh, seasonal food crafted by accomplished Brisbane-born, French-trained chef - Peter Van Lunn.
Located within Spicers Balfour Hotel (rated number 1 Hotel in Brisbane on Trip Advisor); the Balfour Kitchen caters for locals, casual diners, special events and in-house guests of the inner-city retreat. From the outside, Spicers Balfour Hotel resembles many of the large and beautiful classic Queenslander homes found in its neighbourhood, but inside it holds just 9 private accommodation rooms, two function spaces, a roof-top bar and most recently – The Balfour Kitchen restaurant.
