Cocooned by the natural serenity of the Blue Mountains foothills in New South Wales, a mere hour from Sydney, you’ll find Spicers Sangoma Retreat. As an eco-certified retreat, Spicers Sangoma Retreat features sauna facilities, infinity lap pool, open plan lounge and suites that capture the beauty of the natural surrounds.
Spicers Sangoma Retreat is currently closed for refurbishment, which will include the addition of 2 new Luxury Bush Suites, a general refresh of existing rooms and facilities and a major focus on landscape design.
We look forward to welcoming guests back to experience the refreshed Sangoma Retreat from the 1st September 2016 and are now looking for expressions of interest for an array of positions to commence from August 2016.
The Roles
CPD/Commis Chef - Salary, $45000 - $55000
Spicers Sangoma Retreat will require a part time breakfast chef and a full time CPD/Commis Chef. Working within a supportive and fun environment, you will play an integral role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
About You
Apart from your contagious passion for cooking, your willingness to learn and your commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience, to be successful in this role you will have:
- Qualifications in commercial cookery
- Solid experience working in a similar restaurant environment
- Good eye for detail and pride in what you plate and present
- Ability to follow direction yet still work autonomously when needed
- A desire to grow in your role and within our organisation
- You will require a high level of energy and enthusiasm to keep up with our young and fast paced team
Restaurant Supervisor - Salary, $50,000 - $52,000
Reporting directly to the General Manager you play a key role in delivering a growing, sustainable and profitable restaurant and functions service through effective cost management, maximising revenue opportunities, team development and above all consistently delivering a quality guest experience. However, your sole responsibilities do not lay just within the Restaurant. You will be a key member of the team and an effective all rounder. Additional responsibilities will also include administration and guest check in and overall responsibility for the property in the General Managers absence.

Housekeeping - Award Rates - 1 part time opportunity 30 hours per week and casual positions available

Our housekeeping team has a significant impact on the appearance and image we highly value at Spicers Retreats. We are seeking physically fit, flexible and energetic Housekeepers with a can do attitude. If you have an exceptional eye for detail, enjoy working at a fast pace and take extreme pride in your work, we would love to have you on board.
About You!
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Ability to work in a team or autonomously
- Obsession for the highest standards in cleanliness
- Extreme commitment to presentation
- Pride in your personal presentation
Spa Therapist - Award Rates - Casual
As a Spicers Spa Therapist, your primary aim will be to provide the highest standard of service to guests, and ensure that all clients are treated to a luxurious experience. We offer an array of spa treatments and successful candidates will exhibit knowledge and experience in the delivery of a variety of services.
About You!
To be successful in this role you will need:
- a minimum Certificate IV in Remedial Massage Therapy with a strong massage background
- experience in facial treatments, skin analysis, skin treatments and programs
- current CPR and First Aid certificates
- experience working in a day spa or resort spa setting
- a can do attitude and willingness to assist
