ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Spicers Retreats, has a fantastic new opportunity for a Group Sales and Marketing Manager to join their head office team in Chelmer, Brisbane.
Reporting to the CEO, the new position of Group Sales and Marketing Manager will be a key leadership role in the business responsible for developing, implementing and managing sales and marketing strategy, activities and teams to meet the company's strategic, growth and profit objectives. The key performance indicator of the role will be group occupancy.

This is a senior role that would suit someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven leadership ability.
You'll be proactive, customer-orientated and a results-focused leader with excellent business acumen. You'll be able to demonstrate knowledge of current digital trends and opportunities and possess deep knowledge of traditional and contemporary distribution channels of the accommodation and restaurant industries. The ability to read, interpret, analyse and communicate insights from data is essential, as is the ability to keep abreast of industry developments, identify areas for improvement and quickly turn ideas into action.
To be successful in this role, you will also be highly organised and computer literate with knowledge of the full Microsoft suite and ideally 'Sales Force' and hotel PMS's.
At least 5 + years involvement in hospitality, tourism and/or luxury brands is essential. Experience managing a website development/overhaul project would be highly regarded.
