The Bloomfield Group is seeking experienced Fitters / Plant Mechanics to join our Maintenance Team at Rix's Creek Mine.
Successful applicants will maintain and repair heavy earthmoving equipment, washing plants and fixed equipment and assets. They will be responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by providing a high quality and timely maintenance service to operations within the Bloomfield Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and efficient mechanical maintenance services to the site
- Work safely while assisting in meeting the required maintenance targets
- Provide maintenance and breakdown support on mobile and fixed plant
- Perform quality inspections of machinery and document as per legislative and operational requirements
- Demonstrate excellent housekeeping and equipment care and encourage others to maintain housekeeping standards
Essential Criteria
- Proven safe work history and a commitment to zero harm
- Australian recognised Mechanical trade qualification (Plant Mechanic / Fitter)
- Experience working as a Plant Mechanic / Fitter with open-cut mining equipment, and infrastructure.
- OEM or excavator experience is desirable
- Knowledge of mechanical standards and statutory requirements
- Willingness to work a Monday to Friday roster on either a permanent afternoon shift, permanent night shift, or on a rotating night/afternoon/day shift roster.
- Experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Passionate about maintenance and being the best in all you do
- Ability to positively communicate within and between teams
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
