About the role
Are you a Mechanical or Electrical Tradesperson with experience operating a CHPP & looking for an exciting opportunity in the industry? The Bloomfield Group invites you to apply to join our team at Rix's Creek Mine, offering a new and family-friendly lifestyle roster. Multiple Mechanical and Electrical trade based roles are available.
As a member of our team, your coal processing and maintenance expertise will be crucial in the safe and efficient operation of the CHPP, playing an integral role in achieving both safety and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the CHPP in a safe, efficient and productive manner
- Collaborate with the team on meeting safety, maintenance and production goals through efficient practices
- Perform quality inspections of CHPP equipment and areas, documenting as per legislative and operational requirements
- Utilise your processing expertise to deliver a high standard of operation, contributing to the smooth functioning of the CHPP
- Utilise your trade /operating skills to proactively identify potential issues
- Safely and efficiently provide breakdown repairs
- Provide quality trade based maintenance in the washery and on associated coal handling infrastructure
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Trade qualification (Mechanical – Plant Mechanic/Fitter) or (Electrical – with NSW Qualified Electrical Supervisors Certificate)
- CHPP operating experience
- Sound knowledge of coal processing
- Knowledge of relevant standards and statutory requirements
- Experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with fellow team members
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
Desirable Criteria
- Experience maintaining open cut earth moving equipment
- Relevant work cover tickets C6, EWP, forklift, confined space
- High Voltage training and experience (electrical only)
