Who can apply?

Students in their final year of high school education (Year 12) in 2026 with desire to enrol in an approved four year Bachelor of Education course IN 2027 or
Non school leavers who will be enrolled in the first year of an approved four year Bachelor of Education course in 2027.

Eligibility requirements:

Be an Australian citizen
Reside in, or be willing to reside in, the Townsville Diocese
Be enrolled in the first year of an approved undergraduate Bachelor of Education degree or desire to enrol in a four year Bachelor of Education degree in 2027.
Willing to work in a Townsville Catholic Education school for at least two years after gaining provisional teacher registration through QCT.

Students will be provided:

$2,500 for each year of an approved four year education course
Opportunities to complete final year of professional experience in a Townsville Catholic Education school in accordance with your universities professional experience requirements
Weekly allowance for final year professional experience placement ($170 per week for rural/ remote or $140 per week Townsville).
