Who can apply?

Students completing an approved four year Bachelor of Education degree, who will be in their third year of university in 2027.
Non school leavers who will be in their first year of an approved two year Master of Teaching course at university in 2027.

Eligibility requirements:

Be an Australian citizen
Reside in, or be willing to reside in, the Townsville Diocese
Be in the third year of an approved undergraduate Bachelor of Education or first year of a two year Master of Teaching in 2027.
Willing to work in a Townsville Catholic Education school for at least two years after gaining provisional teacher registration through QCT.

Students will be provided:

$10,000 for the final two years of study in a teacher education course ($5,000 each year).
Professional development opportunities.
Final year of professional experience.
Weekly allowance for final year professional experience placement ($170 per week for rural/remote or $140 per week Townsville).
Travel expenses for rural or remote locations.
