About the Role
Join GPC's dynamic team as a Property Advisor, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating GPC’s property portfolio. This includes land and buildings, ensuring the continuous maintenance of lease income, and contributing to the growth of our Port. You will support the Head of Property in overseeing leasing activities, managing property contracts, and providing vital administrative assistance to drive efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Property Coordination: Support the Head of Property by delivering required outputs on time and within specified guidelines, including property inspections, market rental reviews, and maintenance coordination.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with lessees, legal representatives, government officials, and other key stakeholders to negotiate and manage property contracts.
- Administrative Support: Provide a range of administrative services ensuring the accurate and timely completion of objectives. Maintain and manage GPC's property and property contracts database.
- Land Tenure Administration: Facilitate Land Tenure processes to support the development of the Port.
- Procedure & Policy Development: Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency
- Compliance: Uphold Health, Safety, and Environment management systems, as well as GPC’s Code of Conduct, ensuring alignment with our values of Growth, Prosperity, and Community.
About You
We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment. While there are no formal qualifications required for this role, candidates who have experience in a similar field will be highly valued. You’ll bring a strong understanding of lease developmental approval processes and lease economics, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain lease conditions.
You’ll also have a solid knowledge of contract and property law, allowing you to confidently manage lease compliance. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential to support your daily tasks and previous experience with property management software and ERP systems (such as JD Edwards) is advantageous.
Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to build positive relationships both within GPC and with external stakeholders and to negotiate favourable commercial outcomes. You’ll also demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making capabilities, and a safety-driven, customer-centric approach to your work. Most importantly, you’ll have a passion for personal and professional growth—both for yourself and those around you—driving continuous improvement and success in everything you do.
