Be a part of something bigger than a career. We are seeking two highly motivated Team Leaders to join our accommodation services within our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and our teenage respite services. Currently, have two full-time positions, working Monday to Friday, based within our ACT & Queanbeyan region.

What will my role entail?

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the facility, providing guidance and mentoring to a team of experienced disability support workers.
  • High level communication skills to effectively liaise with families, carers, and other organisations regarding the client support needs.
  • Leading, motivating and upskilling staff in the disability and/or community services sector.
  • Understanding of care protocols, reporting requirements and restrictive practices.
  • Efficient time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure our policies and procedures are consistently upheld by staff and the people we support
  • Sound administrative and computer skills, with the ability to use internal systems for client management, rostering, record-keeping, and risk management.
  • An understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues.
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs and behaviours is advantageous, however not a requirement.
