Scheduling Officer

Looking for flexibility and ready to jump into a new career opportunity? We are on the lookout for a highly organised and motivated Scheduling Officer to join our Hunter team. As our services are currently expanding within this region, we are seeking an individual ready to take the next step in their career.

About the role

As the Scheduling Officer, you will work part-time across 3 days a week, 45.6 hours per fortnight within our Argenton office. Utilising a customer-centric approach, you will support the business by aligning staff capability with client resourcing requirements to meet operational needs. This opportunity will allow you to work across two positions of Disability Support Worker and Scheduling Officer if desired.

Whilst no two days are alike, the day-to-day role responsibilities include:

  • Working with operational leaders to identify and seek solutions for shift vacancies.
  • Matching skills and competency of employees with participant needs and preferences.
  • Allocation of resources according to shift vacancies, participant funding and NDIS line items.
  • Interpreting and applying award requirements, rostering principles, and internal processes.
  • Promptly communicating scheduling decisions to a range of stakeholders in a concise and professional manner.
  • Regular review and analysis of rosters of support and workplace information to optimise workforce utilisation

The hourly rate for this role will be between $37.00 and $40.00 per hour (plus superannuation) depending upon relevant experience and qualification.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will thrive working within a fast-paced environment and possess:

  • Excellent administration skills, including navigating a variety of technical platforms.
  • Experience and success in building professional relationships partnering with business leaders and service users.
  • Advanced customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to work within timelines.
  • Clear communication both written and verbal, including the ability to read, interpret and follow rostering principles, award requirements and adhere to organisational processes and procedures.
  • Appropriate record keeping as well as concise and timely decision-making skills.
