The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to expand our ICT team and are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join us in our Head Office in Coniston.
As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will be part of a specialist team ensuring our organisation’s data and systems are protected. You will utilise your analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills to plan, implement and maintain the information security posture of the organisation. With an exciting year of growth and digital transformation ahead, there will be scope to grow your skills and experience as we strengthen our current information security practices and introduce a range of new technologies.
Whilst each day may bring new challenges, the day-to-day duties may include but are not limited to:
- Performing roles of the Information Security Officer as outlined in our Information Security Management System.
- Contributing to supplier and system risk assessments.
- Ensuring compliance to ISO27001, Information Security Manual and Right Fit for Risk (RFFR) accreditations with implementation of associated controls.
- Diagnosing and resolving information security incidents.
- Contributing to the delivery of cyber security projects, training and awareness.
- Planning, implementation and maintenance of backups and disaster recovery systems.
- Working closing with the Chief Information Officer on identifying and treating information security risks.
What you will bring
Required skills/competencies:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Information Technology role including at least 1-2 years of information security related experience.
- Experience working with information security frameworks.
- Experience using Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong understanding of ITIL service desk management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level personal integrity and a commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Exceptional customer service with the ability to collaborate with others.
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Microsoft Azure and Entra experience and certifications.
