The Opportunity:
We have a number of permanent part time opportunities for highly motivated individuals to work as a Disability Support Worker in the Eurobodalla within our Home and Living services, which include Supported Independent Living (SIL), Independent Living Options (ILO) and Short-Term Accommodation (STA). These supports are mainly delivered in Batemans Bay and Moruya.
Our supports have a strong focus on building independent living skills as well as increasing participant's social connections through participation in community activities and employment. Operating over a 24/7 period, our shifts span across the day, afternoon and night which will require you to have availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts to fulfil the needs of our services.
What Does the Role Involve?
- Delivering personal care to participants e.g. showering, toileting, dressing
- Meal preparation and assistance with eating
- Administering medication
- Manual handling e.g. utilising a hoist and mobility assistance
- Supporting attendance at appointments and community-based events
- Engaging in skill building activities, both individually and in a group setting
- Offering meaningful and active support to enable participants to achieve their goals

What You Need For This Role:
- Genuine desire to provide high level care for people with disability
- Flexible availability to work across a 24/7 roster (don’t worry- you will get breaks!)
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Demonstrated awareness of disability
- Working with Children's Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate displaying 2 vaccinations
- Current driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle
