The Opportunity

With the continued success and growth of our organisation comes the opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to join our team. Under the support and guidance of the Financial Accountant, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day financial operations and delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial services to support the operational and strategic needs of the business.

This role will be full-time, working Monday to Friday in our Head Office located in Coniston, where you will work collectively with finance team members in undertaking the following responsibilities:

  • Supporting with month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
  • Regular reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Maintain accurate records of asset management and support lease accounting in line with relevant standards.
  • Monitor, record and reconcile expenses including timely accrual of outstanding liabilities.
  • Adhere to relevant policies and procedures through documentation and record-keeping for compliance.
  • Collaboration with internal team members to support internal reporting, system updates and audit readiness.

The base salary for this role is between $73,000 and $79,000 (plus superannuation) dependent upon relevant experience and qualification.

As the successful candidate, you will have

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally supported by a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to collaborate with internal departments and service participants to develop on-time proposals.
  • A passion for numbers and a knack for problem-solving to meet deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm for a dynamic, fast-paced and multi-skilled environment.
  • Commitment to a long-term career and continual learning.
  • Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) desirable.
