The Opportunity
With the growth of our services in the Bega Valley Region comes permanent part time opportunities for Disability Support Workers to join our Home and Living Supports and Community Supports Team. While each day in the role brings variety and new challenges, you will be a highly motivated and reliable individual supporting people with disability through a person-centred approach to ensure quality of life, dignity, respect and inclusion.
Our Home and Living Supports are a 24/7 service which requires availability in the mornings, afternoons, evenings and night shifts (sleepovers). We would be particularly interested in hearing from you if you have any experience and/or interest in on the job support and training.
Start Date: To be successful for this position, you will be required to be available to commence paid onboarding training from Monday 4 August 2025 for two weeks. We ask that you have full availability to attend training sessions over this period.

Your role responsibilities will include:
- Delivering personal care to participants in their home and in the community
- Preparing and assisting with meal preparation
- Administering medication and offering mobility assistance
- Supporting attendance at appointments and community-based events
- Engaging in skill building activities, both individually and in a group setting
- Offering meaningful and active support to enable participants to achieve their personal goals
- Working shifts across a 24/7 roster which includes morning, afternoon, evenings and overnights
What do I need to succeed in the role?
- Availability to work over a 24-hour rotating roster in alignment with our service offerings
- Interest in employment support for our participants which entails on the job support and assisting in work experience
- Genuine desire to provide care for people with disability
- Confidence to engage with a diverse range of people
- Ability to connect with participants and team members to ensure a sense of value and respect
- An understanding of privacy, confidentiality and treating sensitive information appropriately
- Qualification in disability/community services highly regarded but not essential
- Cleared NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children's Check and evidence of at least two (2) doses of COVID-19 vaccination or valid medical exemption before commencing.
