Disability Support Worker

Be part of our growing services within the Illawarra region as a Disability Support Worker, joining our team in Residential Services. We are dedicated to finding exceptional people with the flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster with both casual and part-time availabilities. This will include working a range of shift including mornings, afternoons, evening and nights (sleepovers and active nights included).

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be a dedicated individual with the shared passion of supporting our participants to achieve their goals, increase independence and assist with daily living tasks. Whilst every day brings new challenges, some of the day-to-day duties may include:

  • Assisting with personal care tasks including showering, toileting and dressing.
  • Preparing and assisting with meal preparation and feeding.
  • Administering medication and offering mobility assistance including the use of lifts & hoists.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date record-keeping and shift notes.
  • Supporting participants with attendance at appointments and community-based events.
  • Offering meaningful and active support to enable participants to achieve their goals.

The hourly part-time rate is between $34.58 - $37.73 and the casual rate is between $43.23 - $47.16 (inclusive of casual loading) depending upon relevant qualification and experience.

What you need to succeed in the role:

  • A genuine desire to provide high quality, person-centred support for people with disability.
  • Creative approach in enabling an inclusive experience for people with disability at home and in the community.
  • The ability to stay calm and be adaptable in challenging situations.
  • An understanding of privacy and confidentiality and how to treat sensitive information appropriately.
  • Confidence using a range of technical platforms to complete shift notes, incident reporting and electronic timesheets.

To be successful in this position you will be required to have availability to attend onboarding training commencing Tuesday 2 September 2025 until Friday 12 September 2025.
