At embarc, our employment teams work alongside people with disability as they explore what’s possible through meaningful, inclusive employment. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Inclusive Employment Team Leader based in the Eurobodalla region on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday.

As the Team Leader, you will lead a dedicated team of Employment Mentors ensuring the provision of services assist participants to overcome employment barriers and secure long-term employment opportunities. You will drive a person-centred approach in the delivery of supports to help participants find meaningful employment matched to their individual plans and goals, a very rewarding opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their career within the industry.

About the role

The Employment Services Team Leader will be involved in the recruitment, training, managing and development of Employment Mentors, and continuously improve the delivery of services to ensure exceptional standards of service. In addition to this, you will:

  • Maintain own caseload and allocate participant caseloads to Employment Mentors.
  • Perform regular and effective case reviews to identify training gaps and provide tailored training and support to the team.
  • Establish, manage and maintain relationships with employers, specialist providers and community providers.
  • Coordinate ongoing support and handovers for participants, ensuring employer resources enable participant competencies to be maintained.
  • Ensure adherence to legislative requirements regarding disability, discrimination and WHS standards by all across the service.

About You

  • Experience in Employment Services sector and an understanding of the importance of lived experience and person-centred support.
  • Experience leading and supervising a team with a person-centred approach and understanding of working with people with disability.
  • Proven sales or marketing ability, including exceptional communication skills, high level negotiation skills, with the ability to be outcome focused and achieve performance targets.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders with capacity to influence them to take action.
  • High standards of confidentiality and ethics to support inclusivity.
  • Competence utilising a range of technical platforms/systems.
  • Awareness of the vulnerabilities during job searching and the effects of unemployment.
  • Have or a willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Valid Driver Licence.
