How you’ll make a difference… 

The Project Accountant delivers finance projects, systems, and process improvements that ensure scalable, efficient delivery of finance processing, reporting and business support, inline with best practice and regulatory requirements.

In this key role, reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a key role woking on a project to replace a legacy system and deliver Salesforce CPQ.

 

What you’ll be doing…

The Project Accountant role will have responsibility for:

  • Acting as Finance process owner/subject matter expert in cross functional system implementations
  • Executing project activities, including requirements gathering, testing, documentation, performing parallel runs and coordinations
  • Ensuring system functionality aligns to statutory regulations and TechnologyOne corporate guidelines, and meet end-user needs
  • Liaising with audit to ensure appropriate internal controls and integrity levels within the accounting systems are maintained and improved
  • Performing system evaluation activities, delivering communications and training, and establishing project and operational documentation

 

Your talents… 

  • Tertiary accounting qualifications 
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience in a financial and/or management accounting 
  • Knowledgeable in pricing, quoting, billing and revenue recognition highly desirable
  • Exposure to coordination/use of task tracking systems
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work as part of a team to achieve business outcomes
