 Working as a Data Analyst as part of our SaaS Data Services team, you will enable and support decision making by providing data driven insights via reports, dashboards and analytics across all products and departments. Using your can-do attitude and high value placed on customer experience, you will be an integral member of this exciting platform team.

What you'll be doing ...

  • Design, build and maintain data visualisations in dashboards and reports to enable business insights and intelligent decision-making.
  • You will identify reporting and analytics needs whilst working closely with stakeholders to turn data into accurate, reliable, information and insights to drive sound business decisions.
  • Educate a range of stakeholders to self-service data as an analytical tool, champion data led decisions, and promote modern ways of data visualisation and content for analysis and exploration.
  • Understanding how data is turned into information and knowledge and how that knowledge supports and enables key business processes.
  • Ensure data pipelines are fit for purpose, reliable and accurate.
  • Understand the implications of data integrity and reporting as a result of upstream / downstream changes including source systems and within the data platform ensuring risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Work across different teams to understand and gather requirements, scope work effort and approach, and deliver suitable data visualisation outcomes.

 

Your talents...

  • Have a passion for and experience with capturing, integrating and analysing data at scale, as well as a proven track record for delivering business intelligence.
  • Strong knowledge of standard BI methodologies, concepts, best practices, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical ability to deliver meaningful insights; identify and articulate anomalies and trends providing recommendations.
  • Ability to interpret new data sources and extraction/manipulation of large data sets to perform analytics.
  • Experience and passion working with business and product teams to design, document and develop dashboards, alerts, reports etc. within required delivery cycles.
  • Demonstrated technical skills:
    • Intermediate to advanced SQL & Excel skills
    • Experience with one or more data visualisation tools (Power BI, QuickSight, Tableau, Qlik etc)
    • Experience leveraging both structured and unstructured data sources
    • Experience building solutions in Python and R
  • Ability to quickly acquire expertise in business unit operations and processes, as well as an ability to understand global SaaS platform operations and capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire knowledge and experience leveraging business analytics to improve business performance.
  • Understanding the value of storytelling through data and a desire to drive this value throughout the organisation.
  • Understanding of dimensional modelling concepts and practices (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience of predictive modelling tools and techniques (desirable).
