This a great opportunity to join TechnologyOne’s in-house legal team as a Senior Legal Counsel. You will be joining a dynamic team in a fast-paced, cutting edge and modern technology company based in our Brisbane HQ.
You will be a highly-trained, commercial legal specialist with direct carriage of multiple customer-related, commercial and corporate transactions and legal matters impacting the business.
What you’ll be doing…
As Senior Legal Counsel you will provide effective legal guidance, advice and support to the TechnologyOne business on customer, commercial and corporate transactions and legal matters impacting the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing general legal advice and support to the business on customer, partner, third-party, and technology procurement contractual transactions
- Advising, working closely with and providing support to our sales, consulting services and management on the negotiation and closure of Software as a Service and other customer agreements
- Advising on and supporting bid management and sales operations on customer procurement, tender and bid documentation
- Advising the business and management on company policies and procedures related to risk management, privacy and data protection, contract processes, customer engagement and protection of company intellectual property
What you’ll need…
- 5+ years PQE. Candidates with training from top-tier law firms preferred.
- Solutions focused mindset and willing to immerse fully in achieving quality commercial outcomes within acceptable risk appetites
- Experience negotiating IT or commercial agreements and advising on associated legal matters. Experience with technology contracts is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of commercial transactions, general legal & contract terminology and principles.
- Ability to work closely with and advise management, sales, consultancy services and technical teams on contracts and other legal matters
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced every-changing environment with the ability to meet deadlines
