Your new role:
Wintringham is currently seeking motivated, driven and enthusiastic Enrolled Endorsed Nurses to join our residential team in a casual capacity. Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care. Enjoy the flexibility of an unrostered role, with the opportunity to step in and support the team as needed across our service.
Your responsibilities and duties will include:
- Supervise and support the care team, providing leadership during after-hours shifts.
- Manage the after-hours roster and coordinate staffing as required.
- Deliver person-centred nursing care, including medication administration, wound management, palliative care, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
- Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence.
- Participate in resident assessments and contribute to the development and review of care plans.
- Monitor, document, and report changes in resident’s health and wellbeing.
- Support the Registered Nurse with clinical care and liaise with medical practitioners, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with organisational policies and aged care standards.
- Assist in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs
- Provide compassionate emotional support and promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents.
We are looking for candidates with the following:
- Ability to work both in team and autonomously
- Cert IV/Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration)
- Prior experience in housing & homelessness support, aged care, welfare, disability support, mental health or community/home care
- Keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to enhance or maintain our residents’ independence and lifestyle
- A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
