Our Tom Fitzgerald Aged Care Home offers affordable, high-quality accommodation and care to people aged 50 years and over.  We provide a safe, flexible and caring family-style environment, which allows residents to maintain their chosen lifestyles, habits and activities and to be as independent as they choose to be.

 

 

Your new role

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Domestic Services Attendant to join our residential team at our Tom Fitzgerald Residential Aged Care Home on a Casual basis.  Be part of a supportive and collaborative environment, where your dedication to excellence is recognised and valued.

Your fortnightly roster will be determined by ad hoc opportunities to provide relief to the team.

 

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning resident rooms, office space and staff rooms
  • Cleaning and maintain storage areas.
  • Maintaining stock levels and cleaners room.
  • Cleaning duplex bathrooms and laundries on a scheduled cycle.
  • Cleaning duties as per schedule.
  • Assisting the Food Services & Laundry teams when necessary
  • Abiding by Wintringham’s infection control procedures

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role (mandatory)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the special needs of older people
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Physically able to perform required tasks
