The opportunity….
We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team on a full time basis. To be successful for this role, you will be a passionate and results orientated HR generalist who wants to make a difference through great HR practice.
Reporting to the HR Consultant you will lead the way in influencing the operations with proactive best practice solutions in a hands on approach. You will provide guidance, advice and support to the Operations in the key areas below.
An overview of the key responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
- Provide specialist advice, support and coaching to Management in the full range of HR practices, ensuring outcomes are within policy framework and legislative requirements
- Undertake HR related functions including talent management, performance management/improvement, application of industrial instruments
- Undertake recruitment and selection activities including on-boarding, working collaboratively with management to advertise and recruit all vacant positions
- Assist in reviewing and developing policies and procedures
- Provide administrative assistance to the HR Consultant
- Administer employment contracts, letters of offer, employment status changes, termination letters
- Coordinate and audit the induction process to ensure compliance from business units
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate training
- Maintenance of HR databases and files
- Assist with driving and implementation of HR initiatives
- Provide HR support on Operational projects ensuring timelines are met
- Monthly HR reporting
- Ad hoc HR/OH&S and payroll tasks as required
The successful candidate will possess;
- Tertiary qualifications in the field of Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations or related fields
- Minimum 5 years’ industry experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in providing accurate advice and guidance on all aspects of HR
- Strong knowledge of HR fundamentals and legislation
- Demonstrated ability to influence instilling a best practice culture
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Experience working in a fast paced environment with the ability to effectively prioritise workload
- Intermediate in Microsoft office
- Warehouse / logistics experience will be highly regarded
