About T-Ports

T-Ports operates two vessels, MV Lucky Eyre and MV April, in Lucky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula, and Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. T-Ports represents a paradigm change in world Port and supply chain development, using cutting edge transhipment technology. T-Ports is an emerging company, leading the way with Grain receival, bulk handling, storage, and transhipping, “bringing the port to the product”. About the role

The Master is responsible for the safe day to day operation of the Vessel. Duties include.

  • Overall onboard responsibility for the safe operation and day to day management of the vessel.
  • Reporting to the Marine Superintendent
  • Responsible for implementation of the Vessel Safety Management System
  • Overall onboard responsibility for ensuring that all operations are performed in accordance with all State and National legislation and applicable regulations
  • Liaise closely with key shoreside stakeholders daily to ensure cargo and safety KPI’s are met or exceeded, and operations are carried out to maximum efficiency
  • Liaise closely with the other Senior Masters to ensure the continued review and development of critical onboard procedures and processes and refinement of onboard management principles
  • Responsible for safely maneuvering the vessel in and out of port and berthing/unberthing alongside Bulk Carriers at anchor
  • Crew rostering

 

About You

This is a significant position to the operational success of the Transshipment Vessel Lucky Eyre and T-Ports operations. A high level of vessel handling and marine knowledge is required.

  • Valid AMSA Master Unlimited CoC - Essential
  • Valid AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness - Essential
  • Must have Australian work rights - Essential
  • Minimum 1 year experience in rank – Essential
  • Verifiable hands-on ship handling experience on vessels over 50m – Essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively at Senior Management level – Essential
  • Thorough understanding of the Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel) National Law Act and associated Marine Orders and the NSCV
  • Transshipping experience – Desirable
