About the role
Reporting to the Chief Officer the GPH is responsible for assisting in the daily operation and maintenance of the Vessel.
- Operate the Material Handling System (MHS)
- Casual Position
- Perform planned maintenance duties using Maintenance systems (PMS) (MEX)
- Comply with Work, Health, and Safety procedures
- Perform all tasks instructed by the Chief Officer and Master
- Prepare and clean Vessel for Grain Inspection and periodical inspections
- General deck hand duties
About You
This is a diverse role that will require an all-rounder, with “a can-do attitude”, who is prepared to take on a vast selection of duties. Ranging from Preventative Maintenance to routine inspections. Excellent verbal and written skills will be required. Previous deck hand experience will be required.
- Master less than 24m OR Master less than 35m- Essential
- Certificate of Safety Training- Essential
- Valid AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness - Essential
- Must have Australian work rights - Essential
- Previous experience in a similar Agri-business or bulk handling plant- Advantageous
