T-Ports have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Asset & Maintenance Planner to join our management team at Wallaroo. This unique and diverse position has opened as a result of Business development, growth, and re-structure. This position is based at our Wallaroo site in South Australia.

About T-Ports:
T-Ports specialises in bulk handling, storage and transshipping of grain using cutting-edge state of the art facilities and equipment. T-Ports operates two transshipment ports at Lucky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula and Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula.  As well as the two transshipment ports, T-Ports operates up-country grain storage sites and a transshipment vessel “The Lucky Eyre” that discharges grain into ocean-going vessels at sea. T-Ports is founded on four pillars, Innovation, safety, integrity, and efficiency.

About the role:
Responsible for the overall planning, scheduling, and executing of all maintenance at our Wallaroo site, whilst managing asset plant and equipment. Along with management responsibilities, you will also be required to work on the tools, a mechanical or electrical trade will be essential. Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, prioritisation and planning skills are an absolute must to make this position a success. This role will require accurate collection, maintenance, storage, and reporting of data to support our corporate goals whilst working in close consultation with operations and marine management. This position will require previous supervisor OR management experience. 

 

  • Maintain a maintenance schedule across our Wallaroo site that considers usage, condition, and lead time risks.
  • Manage a small team of multi-trades
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager
  • Preventative and planned maintenance (PPM): establish, monitor, and schedule, ensuring completion to timeframes / quality; includes regular reporting with senior management and completion to budget.
  • Manage open work orders to completion; prioritise jobs to business requirements and budget, schedule daily jobs for trades team.
  • Maintain inventory system to ensure availability of business-critical spare parts.
  • Understanding the needs of customers and stakeholders through the communication of forward planning of upcoming maintenance activities to ensure maximum availability and reliability of all plant and equipment
  • Ensuring planned and preventative maintenance is carried-out at optimal cost levels within the constraints of safety and production.
  • You will be accountable for the safety, quality, reliability, cost, and maintenance of the assets.
  • Continually improves maintenance methods, processes, and tools to improve performance and reduce cost.

About You:
Our Ideal candidate has experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within any industry. You should also have-

  • Trade qualification – one or more of the following trades – Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, OR Unrestricted Electrical Licence - Essential
  • Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and processes - Essential
  • Previous experience with CMMS systems such as SAP or MEX - Essential 
  • Sound understanding of financial processes with maintenance activities – Essential
  • Excellent consultation & communications with key stakeholders - Essential
  • Previous experience in a similar Agri-business – Advantageous
