About T-Ports

T-Ports specialises in bulk handling, storage and transhipping of grain using cutting-edge state of the art facilities and equipment. T-Ports operates two transhipment Ports at Lucky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula and Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula.  As well as the two transhipment Ports, T-Ports operates up-country grain storage sites and a transhipment vessel the “Lucky Eyre” that discharges grain into ocean-going vessels at sea. T-Ports is founded on four pillars, Innovation, safety, integrity, and efficiency.

About the role

The Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor is responsible for developing, improving, and implementing HSEQ procedures to ensure that all work completed is in accordance with all applicable legislation, associated regulations, relevant standards, and requirements. This role is responsible for the continual maintenance of the HSEQ system, providing guidance to senior management on HSEQ requirements and promoting a HSEQ culture across all T-Ports sites.

  • Work as an integral part of the team to ensure T-Ports HSEQ policies, procedures and obligations have been effectively communicated at all business levels.
  • Lead and/or assist management with incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
  •    Conduct visits to T-Ports facilities and work sites to monitor compliance with requirements. As a result of these visits, provide reports to Management evaluating compliance and including suggestions for improvement.
  • Develop safe work procedures using risk assessments and hierarchy of controls to mitigate risks to agreed levels and compliant to HSE Laws and Australian Standards.
  • Update change management plan and develop actions to engage, communicate and consult with key stakeholders and people leaders.
  • Develop tools, guides, and training material to enable HSE legal assessments, risk assessments, SDSs, incidents & investigations, Safety Alerts, NCRs, CARs, etc.
  • Communicating HSEQ updates and alerts to the team on the job through pre-starts, toolbox, and safety meetings.
  • Develop minimum standards for high-risk processes and activities to minimise exposure to fatal and serious risk injuries.
  • Conduct internal auditing of T-Ports Management Systems on performance against applicable standards. 

About You

Our ideal candidate has a solid commitment to workplace health, safety, and governance with strong operational workplace standards. You will have excellent communication skills, verbal and written along with sound computer skills, especially MS office suite Ability to work in a team and autonomously while leading by example with hands-on initiatives and training.

  • Cert IV Work health and safety - Essential.
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment – Desirable.
  • C-Class driver’s licence - Essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within Agri-business – Advantageous.
  • Previous Marine experience – Desirable.
  • Experience in creation and delivery of training plans and systems – Desirable.
