T-Ports presents a unique and exciting opportunity for a full-time Asset & Maintenance Planner to join our management team at Lucky Bay. This key role will be primarily responsible for managing maintenance operations at our Lucky Bay site, located on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula.

We specialise in bulk handling, storage, and transshipping, operating two state-of-the-art transshipment ports in Lucky Bay (Eyre Peninsula) and Wallaroo (Yorke Peninsula). Our unique supply chain includes up-country storage sites and our transshipment vessel, The Lucky Eyre, which transfers grain directly to ocean-going vessels offshore.

The Role
As the Asset & Maintenance Planner, you will oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all maintenance activities across Lucky Bay, Lock, and Kimba sites, including the TSV Lucky Eyre, while managing site assets, plant, and equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with trade qualifications in mechanical or electrical fields. You will also be responsible for leading a small team of multi-skilled tradespeople.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage preventative and planned maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Lead and coordinate a small team of multi-trade technicians
- Report directly to the Operations General Manager
- Manage open work orders, daily task scheduling, and prioritisation based on business needs.
- Maintain spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical parts.
- Ensure reliability and availability of all plant and equipment through forward planning and effective stakeholder communication.
- Monitor maintenance budgets and report against KPIs and corporate objectives
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Identify and implement improvements in maintenance processes, systems, and tools.
About You
We’re looking for a proactive leader with a strong background in maintenance planning, ideally in a high-availability or industrial environment.
You must have:
- One or more trade qualification: Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Maintenance Fitter, or an unrestricted Electrical Licence
- Proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution
- Proficiency with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, MEX)
- Strong financial acumen related to maintenance activities
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Desirable:
- Experience in a similar agri-business or grain-handling environment
