Bring your extensive business experience to support the day-to-day operations of the Tweed Holiday Parks with a focus on revenue management, financial operations, compliance, performance analysis and business improvement. 

You will have extensive commercial experience, be competent in project management and capital works planning, possess good business and IT acumen, have strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to organisational performance improvement.

Key focus of the role:

  • manage operational matters consistent with legislation, strategies, policies and contracts
  • prepare quarterly and annual financial reports and annual budgets
  • responsible for the implementation of capital and planned maintenance programs
  • monitor the delivery of the THP Strategic Plan to ensure business growth continues
  • supervise THP staff and communicate and advise internal and external clients

We are seeking:

  • minimum diploma qualification in a relevant field or demonstrated knowledge and significant experience in a similar role
  • extensive experience in the overall operation of a business, preferably in the hospitality / tourist accommodation sector
  • comprehensive knowledge of business management concepts and practices

Where it's located:

This position is based in Tweed Heads and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

Essential:

  • Minimum Diploma Qualification in field relevant to undertaking the position (Business, Project Management or equivalent) or demonstrated knowledge and significant experience in a similar business development role.
  • Demonstrated ability to autonomously plan and organise work for self and others to ensure that goal and planning deadlines are achieved.
  • Demonstrated communication skills in both oral and written of a high order incorporating the ability to liaise with staff and contractors at all levels to provide highly effective and proactive customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex and unstructured problems and to develop alternatives and format practical solutions and strategies.

Desirable:

  • Degree or Post Graduate qualification in a related discipline e.g. Management.
  • Demonstrated experience with interpreting and applying applicable legislative and reporting requirements for Local Government in NSW e.g. the Local Government Act, Crown Land Management Act, Residential (Land Lease) Communities Regulation, Local Government (Manufactured Home Estates, Caravan Parks, Camping Grounds and Moveable Dwellings) Regulation.
