We have an exciting opportunity for a Communication and Engagement Business Partner to join our Destination, Communication and Customer Experience Business Unit.

Working in our high-performing Communication and Engagement team and as a business partner with Council services, your role will be to inform, educate and engage the Tweed community and our staff so they get the most out of Council programs and services.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced team player who can use their visual and written communication and storytelling skills to create effective content, in plain language, for a range of audiences in traditional, social and digital channels.

The ideal candidate will be someone who understands and uses technology and has a passion for communicating and engaging with the Tweed community and our workforce. 

It is a hands-on, proactive role that will suit someone who enjoys a buzzing, productive environment and is able to prioritise workload to meet business needs. The successful candidate will take pride in producing quality and engaging content that cuts through the noise.

We are seeking:

  • Demonstrated and relevant industry experience in a similar role.
  • Visual communicators and storytellers, with an ability to write in plain language for different audiences and channels, including the ability to produce exciting video content.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate communications and engagement plans/projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce innovative and creative promotional and marketing solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability in preparing, utilising and evaluating online and web technology.
  • Willingness to collaborate, with a flexible approach and ability to work outside of hours on occasions.

Where it's located:

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
