The role provides high level, confidential and sensitive executive support to the Director Corporate Services and where required Executive Leadership Team and Managers of the Division. This opportunity will suit an Executive Assistant who is proficient, energetic and proactive.
This is a parental Leave contract up until October 2025.
About the role:
- Strategic Support: Provide high-level administrative support to the director and direct reports within the Corporate Services Division, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Calendar Management: Organise and manage complex executive calendars, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Time Management: Prioritise a busy workload with competing deadlines and coordinate activities to ensure delivery of the business objectives outlined in Council's Delivery Program.
- Communication: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external communications, handling inquiries, and ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Document Preparation: Prepare and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Meeting Coordination: Coordinate and assist with meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
- Project Assistance: Support the planning and execution of special projects and initiatives, providing administrative and logistical assistance as needed.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration across the organisation.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve administrative issues proactively, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

- An attractive base salary ranging commencing at $72,400 per annum with competency-based increments up to $85,000 per annum, plus 11.5% super.

We are seeking:
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience as an Executive Assistant with excellent time management and organisational skills.
- High level of proficiency in electronic minute taking.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
