Technical Officer

Tweed Shire Council is seeking a Technical Officer to join our Development Assessment and Compliance Unit.

About the role:

  • Assist planning officers in development application processing.
  • Undertake development and planning administration including counter and telephone enquiries on town planning matters.
  • Assist with investigation of complaints regarding development issues and unauthorised development.

We are seeking:

  • Experience working within a technical or administrative role.
  • High level oral and written communication skills with the ability to resolve conflict.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the development process in a local government context.

Where it's located:

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
