Seeking expressions of interest from capable and experienced Building Surveyors to act in a Senior Building Surveyor position for up to 12 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your knowledge, skills and experience in a position that offers a blend of technical expertise and leadership.

The position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the building surveyor team, ensuring compliance with building regulations, codes and standards. The role provides expert advice on construction and building practices and leading the team to deliver high-quality surveying services.

Eligibility

Only Tweed Shire Council Employees are eligible to apply for this Expression of Interest.
Spinifex Recruiting employees (labour hire staff), and Programmed Services employees (apprentices and trainees) are not eligible to apply.

base salary is Job Grade 8 ranging from $115,562 per annum with performance-based increments up to $128,493 per annum, plus 11.5% super
maximum-term 12 months secondment opportunity commencing mid-October 2024
70 hour, 9 day fortnight

We are seeking:

relevant building surveyor accreditation issued by the Department of Fair Trading now the Building Commission
demonstrated sound working knowledge of relevant legislation including relevant Australian Acts, Regulations, Standards and Codes
enthusiasm and willingness to broaden your skills, experience and knowledge

Where it's located:

This position in based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
