We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to coordinate water and wastewater infrastructure planning and develop programs of works to meet strategic objectives, levels of service and anticipated growth. This role involves the development and implementation of Lifecycle Asset Management and associated policies, strategies, plans and systems.
About the role:
- Coordinates the planning and approvals of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Engages and manage specialist consultants on strategic and asset-related projects
- Develops and maintain asset policies, registers, and systems for valuation, financial, operation, and maintenance requirements
- Develops short and long-term capital infrastructure plans within budgetary and funding constraints
- Ensures compliance with changing regulatory requirements
- Develops and maintain water supply and sewerage network models
- Prepares submissions to government on legislative changes and process improvements
- Prepares Council business paper reports and make presentations to Council and stakeholder groups.

We are seeking:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree
- Extensive experience in Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Planning, demonstrating competence in planning, designing, and managing water and wastewater systems
- High-Level knowledge of asset management plans and systems, develop and implement asset management strategies, including lifecycle asset management
- Proven experience in managing and developing a team, including professional and technical roles.

This position is based in Tweed Heads and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
