About the role:

We are seeking to fill two (2) Plant Operator positions. This role involves operating plant equipment (over 30 hp) for maintenance and construction tasks across Council’s parks, reserves, and cemeteries. The position also includes general gardening duties, scheduled mowing, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring high work standards and quality customer service. Strong communication with supervisors and flexibility to perform other duties as directed are essential.

We are seeking:

  • Confident using the right plant and machinery for the job.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety and maintenance systems.
  • Can communicate clearly, both speaking and writing.
  • Able to keep accurate records.
  • Can work on your own without supervision.
  • Works well as part of a team.
  • Holds a current car driver’s licence.

Where it's located:

This position is based in Tweed Heads, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
