Support impactful community projects with high-level admin and project coordination in our Parks and Active Communities Unit—where every day makes a difference.
About the role:
- Provide high-level administrative and project support across a range of programs, events, and initiatives within the Parks and Active Communities Unit.
- Apply strong and clear communication, analytical, and organisational skills while working independently and flexibly across tasks
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the Unit’s operations to effectively support diverse community-focused projects.
- Liaise with internal teams, external stakeholders, volunteers, and the public to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Use Council’s records and corporate systems to manage documents, finances, and operational reporting.

We are seeking:
- A Certificate III in Business Administration (or equivalent) and proven experience delivering high-quality administrative support.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and confidence using corporate information systems.
- Strong written communication and attention to detail, with the ability to prepare reports, meeting documents, and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and deliver outstanding customer service.
- A proactive team player with strong problem-solving, time management, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
