About the role:
- Lead and mentor a small, high-performing team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and a strong focus on customer service.
- Coordinate and deliver impactful P&C projects—from planning and documentation to stakeholder engagement and tracking progress.
- Champion innovation by identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and ways of working across the organisation.
- Build strong relationships across Council, working collaboratively to support service delivery and drive positive outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement by fostering a culture of learning, adaptability, and shared success.

We are seeking:
- An experienced P&C professional with a strong background in operational service delivery, project coordination, and team leadership
- Proven ability to manage functions, deliver strategic outcomes, and support high-performing teams.
- A confident communicator who can build trust, navigate sensitive matters, and bring people together.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities with ease.
- Tech-savvy and adaptable, with solid skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
- A collaborative leader who’s passionate about service excellence and making a meaningful impact. Sound understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to provide clear, well-informed advice in line with Council requirements.

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
