About the role:
- Work across multiple units within the Water & Wastewater area, gaining broad exposure to Local Government Engineering practices to support career growth.
- Contribute to a variety of roles including Water and Sewerage Operations, Maintenance, Project Management and Asset Management
- Communicate effectively through clear written reports and confident verbal interactions, supporting collaboration with consultants, contractors, staff, and the community.

We are seeking:
- A qualified candidate with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or a related engineering field, eligible for registration with Engineers Australia.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in engineering design, construction, operations, and maintenance applicable to water and wastewater
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering projects and contracts effectively.
- Familiarity with local government infrastructure, particularly water supply and sewerage systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing, business correspondence, and stakeholder liaison.
- Well-developed skills in research, analysis, creative problem solving, and program implementation, with an understanding of GIS and other computer applications in infrastructure engineering.

This position is based in Kingscliff and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
