About the Role

The Project Director - Flood Restoration leads Council’s strategic flood recovery efforts, overseeing the planning, delivery, and management of complex capital works programs from inception to completion. This pivotal role drives collaboration across executive teams, ensures efficient procurement and funding strategies, and delivers high-quality restoration outcomes with a strong focus on client satisfaction.

What’s on offer:

• a base salary ranging from $157,563 per annum with performance-based increments up to $181,197 per annum, plus 12% super
• a maximum term contract - approximately 3 months from 23 March 2026 to 12 June 2026. 
• 70-hour fortnight, 1 RDO per month

• Strong relevant technical and knowledge and experience.
• Strong understanding of contract management and procurement processes.
• An understanding of Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) processes would be an advantage.

Where it's located:

This position in based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

Desirable:

• Do you hold any postgraduate qualifications, studies or certifications in Project Management, Management or Leadership? If so, please outline the qualification(s) and how they have informed your professional practice.
• Can you describe your applied knowledge of Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) framework and provide an example of how you have used this knowledge in a practical work content?
