You will be responsible for the hands-on operational aspects of products and services relating to Cyber Security including SOC/SIEM (Threat Defence), Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Protection (Crowdstrike) and Application Control and Allow‑listing (Airlock).
You will also be responsible for planning and managing Security Audits (penetration testing) and other projects and strategies for improving Councils' cyber security stance.

About the role:
- manage all products and services relating to Cyber Security
- manage Council's security operations service to ensure timely detection of current and emerging security events
- manage and develop incident response plans
- guide and collaborate with key stakeholders for the end-to-end design and development of cyber security solutions
- Produce detailed cyber security status reports for management.

We are seeking:
- degree in information technology, computing science or related discipline, or demonstrated experience
- knowledge and experience in managing products/systems such as SOC/SIEM, vulnerability management, endpoint protection and application control/allowlisting
- an understanding of emerging security technologies and their impacts or benefits
- excellent analytical skills to analyse security events and requirements.

This position is based in Tweed Heads and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
