The Role:
- Perform the operational functions of Council’s cemeteries including, ground and garden maintenance facility and equipment maintenance, interments support and crematorium operations
- Carries out regular facility and amenity cleaning and maintenance
- Undertake cremations, receiving cremation paperwork, cremation insertion, ash crushing, packaging and labelling of ashes
- Provide information to visitors to the cemeteries, funeral directors, Council’s cemetery operations foreman, council’s cemeteries administrator and other units within Council’s organisation.

We are seeking:
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- 'Hands-on' experience with computer-based business systems
- Current Vehicle licence - medium rigid
- Chemical users certificate - (Chemcert certificate)
- Communication skills in a sensitive environment for handling public enquiries, complaints and minor conflicts
- Competence in reading and understanding plans/drawings.

This position is based at Tweed Valley Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium, Eviron, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
