Lead the design and delivery of Council’s modern, reliable and integrated business systems — including cloud apps, e‑commerce, land and spatial systems, business intelligence, automation, data analytics, and reporting — while managing contracts and relationships with 20+ vendors.
Guide and support the Business Systems Analysts and Data/Analytics staff to provide high‑quality services that drive innovation, improve processes, and strengthen collaboration across Council.
About the role:
- Lead the design, integration, upgrades and delivery of Council’s business applications, including cloud systems, e‑commerce, land and spatial information, business intelligence and data analytics.
- Oversee corporate applications and information management services to support automation, reporting and modern digital solutions across the organisation.
- Manage contracts and maintain strong relationships with more than 20 technology vendors to ensure high‑quality, value‑for‑money services.
- Provide leadership to the Business Systems Analysts and Data/Analytics staff, fostering collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across Council.

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

Selection Criteria:

- Outline your experience applying contemporary IT management practices, including staff development, performance management, change management, or quality management systems.
- Describe a major organisational change initiative you contributed to, including the change‑management deliverables you developed (e.g., impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, communication or training plans).
- Explain your experience with SLAs, customer service, stakeholder engagement, and vendor or contract management, and how you apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills under pressure.
