Bring detailed plans to reality by carrying out construction and maintenance tasks with precision, backed by advanced concreting expertise that keeps every project moving forward.
About the role:
- Carry out advanced concreting duties along with a variety of general labouring tasks across construction and maintenance projects as directed.
- Work on a diverse range of civil works, including roads, bridges, stormwater drainage, footpaths, kerb and guttering, water and sewer pipelines, and other key public infrastructure.
- Apply technical knowledge and practical skill to identify and use the correct materials and specifications in line with Australian Standards and relevant regulations.
- Operate in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner across all Council worksites.
- Actively participate in team meetings to support a collaborative, safe, and productive work environment.

We are seeking:
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills consistent with Year 10 level.
- Proven ability to apply practical skills across a range of construction and maintenance activities.
- Ability to work effectively both unsupervised and as part of a team or gang.
- Ability to read plans and accurately take off quantities.
- Current Class C (Car) Driver Licence.
- General Construction Induction (White Card).

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
