Join our team to help deliver essential construction and maintenance projects, in accordance with plans and instructions to ensure safe and high‑standard results.
About the role:
This role involves carrying out construction or maintenance work within the Infrastructure Delivery Unit, following directions from your supervisor. You’ll work across a variety of civil tasks - including roads, bridges, drainage and signage with opportunities to take on specialised duties. The work is hands‑on, varied and involves collaborating with other Council teams.

We are seeking:
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to Year 10 level.
- Ability to apply practical skills across a range of construction and maintenance tasks.
- Proven capacity to work independently without supervision.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team or gang on-site.
- Reliable, adaptable worker who can contribute across various civil works activities.

Positions are based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
