The successful candidate will foster a cohesive team environment by proactively sharing information and assisting colleagues to meet goals and deadlines. You will liaise with various units across the Council and address ad hoc inquiries. This role offers a variety of tasks, from fundamental administrative duties to supporting project delivery, with initial training in end-to-end recruitment processes.
About the role:
- Pivotal role in supporting P&C operations with a focus on administering our end-to-end recruitment at Council.
- Requires flexibility to work across multiple functions within the team: recruitment, operations, learning and development and WHS
- Initially the role will have a strong focus on customer service and end-to-end recruitment functions.
- Provides support to committee meetings by generating agendas and minutes

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

Selection Criteria:
- Why are you interested in working at Tweed Shire Council, and what excites you most about this particular opportunity?
- Please describe your experience working in a generalist People & Culture (HR) environment, using electronic record management and human resources information systems.
- Describe your organisational and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities, manage workloads and identify when to reschedule and reorganise work to reflect changes in priority.
- Please detail your high-level competence with Microsoft 365 applications and the capacity to learn corporate applications.
- Describe your ability to use initiative, research HR related issues and apply sound judgement to contribute to decision making and continuous improvements in the People & Culture team.
